Front Air Dams

Front Air Dams are used to increase ground force on a car at greater speeds. Aside from the performance benefits, the Air Dams also add an aggressive yet functional appearance to a sports car.

They do add to the performance of your car ever so slightly but can be enhanced with other body components such as wind splitters and rear diffusers. The air dams will already move more wind over the top of the car attempting to reduce pressure under the body of the car increasing traction and control while cornering and moving at high speeds.

Although most people that choose to purchase Air Dams or any type of body kit or component in general are not always looking at the performance factor. It just tends to be the bonus. Ultimately the car modifier is attempting to increase the overall style and design of his or her car. The performance they achieve when adding these parts is just icing on the cake.

Front air dams can be a sweet accent for any car. You can choose to install your air dams with a custom paint match or contrast colors to give that sporty look. Like a blue body with black air dams, or a black car with red air dams with other small red accents such as the break calipers and emblems.

Often air dams are made out of high quality resin plastics, fiberglass, urethane. You can choose any of these options keeping in mind the type of driving you do and the risks of damage. Fiberglass can be one of the least expensive but most fragile materials. Fiberglass can be repaired if needed. Keep in mind paint work will also be required if repairs are necessary. Urethane is a much more flexible material and will hold up more to curb abuse. Carbon Fiber is lightweight and has a very stylish look.

Pick any of these options and you will be on your way to some new style and upgraded performance and traction on the road today.
